About the project. FoodPrice is a system for optimizing spending on consumer goods by finding the lowest prices among stores. It allows you to buy goods cheaper if you walk to the required store or visit several. The project is at the idea stage. Problem: As a consumer, I want to buy consumer goods cheaper, even if it takes longer and I have to visit several stores along the way. Discount systems in stores are not a solution to the problem, as they do not provide real savings and are just ordinary marketing tools. Solution: Provide the user with information about actual shelf prices in stores in a convenient format, so they can buy the goods they need cheaper. Leap of faith: The consumer is willing to spend time to visit several stores or walk to a discount retailer, thereby saving money. If the only possible choice is the nearest store, there is no savings, and the project idea makes no sense. We will be able to obtain enough information about shelf prices in stores so that price and shopping route calculations actually deliver savings to customers. With insufficient data supply, the system becomes useless and we merely deceive the consumer. The primary way to obtain information about shelf prices in stores could be scanning QR codes on receipts. They contain all the necessary information. As alternative sources of information, computer vision systems and manual traversal can be used. MVP format for testing the leaps of faith: QR code scanning app Server with business logic VK public with the service/mobile app/website
